Founded in 1859 by the master cooper Jean-Edouard Dupard, Domaine Jean Chartron has seen five generations succeed, all concerned with the development and prosperity of the prestigious vineyard, as well as the good management of the commune.
Today, it is Jean-René Chartron's son, Jean-Michel, who takes over, and for this astute winemaker, passionate about perfection and rigor, the objective is for the wines of this Domaine bearing his name to be the very quintessence of the Burgundy he loves so much.
