Vineyards Grand Ormeau, oriented north-south and covers an area of 14 ha, located on the upper part of the Lalande de Pomerol. The planting of predominantly Merlot (64%) combined with Cabernet Franc (18%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (18%) is perfectly adapted to the soil and ancient sands of severe basement of clay and iron dross. From stringent selection process, are marketed: the Grand Vin Château Grand Ormeau and the second wine under the name Knight of Haurange. The ambition is to produce clearly articulated in Grand Ormeau one of the best wines of the appellation, if not the best. . Like all great wines, when they are young, in Lalande de Pomerol are to be tasted, airy beings and therefore unsettled. To enjoy them throughout their extent and fullness, he must know how to wait. Here, proud and charming, the Lalande de Pomerol reveal all their harmony, balance, complexity. They remain excellent dining companions for red meats, game and strong cheeses. .
