Segonzac

Chateau Segonzac, Premieres Cotes de Blaye - Grand Vin de Bordeaux. The vineyard currently covers just over 43 hectares including 10 ha in rent on the sunny slopes overlooking the Gironde. The exhibition is South, South-West. The average age of the vines of Chateau Segonzac is 30 years, with Vieilles Vignes 65. A sub-soil clay-limestone soil gives the strong typicality, allowing the vines to express themselves fully, and produce concentrated wines, harmonious. The whole rests on a limestone plateau of several meters thick and is exposed in different parts of the vineyard. The vineyards of Chateau Segonzac offers a fairly wide range of key grape varieties of Bordeaux: Merlot (60%), Cabernet Sauvignon (20%), Malbec (10%), Cabernet Franc (5%), Petit Verdot (5 %).
