Château Segonzac
Segonzac
Chateau Segonzac, Premieres Cotes de Blaye - Grand Vin de Bordeaux. The vineyard currently extends over slightly more than 43 hectares, including 10 hectares under lease, on the sunny slopes overlooking the Gironde. The exposure is South, South-West. The average age of Chateau Segonzac vines is 30 years, with Old Vines of 65 years. A clay-limestone subsoil gives the terroir a strong typicity, allowing the vines to fully express themselves and produce concentrated and harmonious wines. The whole rests on a limestone table several meters thick that outcrops at different points of the vineyard. The Château Segonzac vineyard offers a fairly wide range of the main Bordeaux grape varieties: Merlot (60%), Cabernet Sauvignon (20%), Malbec (10%), Cabernet Franc (5%), Petit Verdot (5%)
