The Caves de Tain L'Hermitage dominate the left bank of the Rhône from atop its imposing granite hillside. The Caves de Tain L'Hermitage: a hillside vineyard, on terraces, facing full south, sheltered from the north wind, presents an extremely diverse soil. Notably, there are granitic soils, fluvio-glacial alluviums, and loess. This diversity corresponds to the different localities of this imposing hill: Les Bessards, l'Hermite, Le Méal, Maison Blanche, Rocoule, La Croix, Les Murets, Les Signaux, Péléat, Les Greffieux, Les Diognières. Hermitage: 140 ha
