Originally a family property, the estate was reshaped and replanted to give birth to Château Chantemerle in 1996. Created about twenty years ago on 20 hectares of gravelly, sandy and clay-limestone soils, the property has continued to grow through the acquisition of certain bare plots or others already planted with vines aged 15 to 30 years. Today, the Château Chantemerle vineyard consists of different vine plots of very different ages ranging from young plantings to over 50 years old. This is why we can make high-quality wines. Beautiful dense ruby color with garnet reflections. Powerful yet balanced nose. A Château Chantemerle has a full, rich, fruity palate underlined by a beautiful acidity that enhances the tannic structure worthy of a wine for aging. Wait 2 or 3 years and serve with red meats, game and hare pâtés.
